About Narsimha Puran

નરસિંહ પુરાણ (હિન્દી: सिंहरसिंह पुराण; નરસિંહ પુરાણ) પેટા પુરાણોમાંનું એક છે. આર.સી. હાઝરા પેટા-પૌરાણિક [1]ના તેમના અભ્યાસ પરથી તારણ કાઢે છે કે મૂળ લખાણ પાંચમી સદીના અંતમાં લખવામાં આવ્યું હતું, જો કે તેનો ઘણો ભાગ પાછળથી ઉમેરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. 1300ની આસપાસ આ કૃતિનો તેલુગુમાં અનુવાદ થયો હતો.

મંદીમાં 68 પ્રકરણોનો સમાવેશ થાય છે જેમાં ટેક્સ્ટની પ્રિન્ટેડ આવૃત્તિઓ હોય છે. અધ્યાય VIII એ યમ ગીતાની ત્રણ આવૃત્તિઓમાંથી એક છે (અન્ય બે વિષ્ણુ પુરાણ, પુસ્તક 3, અધ્યાય 1-7, અગ્નિ પુરાણ, પુસ્તક 3, પ્રકરણ 381 છે). અધ્યાય 36-54 વિષ્ણુના દસ અવતારોનું વર્ણન કરે છે. પ્રકરણ 21 અને 22 માં સૂર્ય વંશ (સૌર વંશ) અને સોમ રાજવંશ (ચંદ્ર વંશ) ના રાજાઓની નાની વંશાવળીઓ છે, જેની શરૂઆત સુધોના પુત્ર બુદ્ધ અને બીજા ઉદયનના પૌત્ર ક્ષેમકનથી થાય છે. આ કાર્યના પ્રકરણ 57-61 પણ એક અલગ કાર્ય, ગ્રીન કોડ અથવા લાઇટ ગ્રીન મેમરી તરીકે દેખાય છે.
